White Russia

A bit ago I wanted to do an illustrated story of my family's immigration to the U.S. This picture is all that has happened so far. In her writings my grandmother referred to the place her mother had immigrated from as 'White Russia' (what is now Belarus, I'm told) which sounds so mysterious and exiting. Covered in snow and fog...Anyway, this is the drawing that came out of those thoughts, a first draft of a possible picture book.
