Finally, here are some pictures of my wedding present for my sister and her husband. After interviewing my sister about her and her hubby's 'dream sheets', I created this pattern just for them. I printed it via Spoonflower (the pattern will soon be available to the public-- stay tuned) and with my grandma's help (I'm more of a slap-dash hand seamstress...) created a duvet cover and pillowcase for the newlywed's bed! We used this great tutorial from Design*Sponge, but ended up modifying it slightly (...all on purpose...) It was a really fun project, it definitely inspired me to make my own sheets in the future! Although I should probably buy a sewing machine first.
I'm so happy that Tobie & Stephen like their sheets. There is something so special about sheets and bedding don't you think? I have such a nostalgic connection to all the bedding I've had over the years.
So much love & happiness for my sister and my new brother in law!
All the yardage out to dry
(14 yards!!! Which ended up being a positive miscalculation, I had lots of extra)
